It has better ingredients – including MSM and Glucosamine, which the Advanced doesn’t have – and it also has a good dose of ginger to help with joint pain and inflammation.
While Instaflex Advanced has more turmeric, a large chunk of its formula consists of ineffective and untested joint health ingredients like oral collagen, and resveratrol.
But while Instaflex is the better option between the two, it’s far from the perfect supplement either. Some of its key ingredients are underdosed, and it is missing a few core ingredients that would make it more effective at supporting long-range joint health.
Considering Instaflex costs $59.99 for a month’s supply, we would definitely do more research before rushing into buying either one of them.

Instaflex vs Instaflex Advanced: Product Overview
Instaflex and Instaflex Advanced are both manufactured by the same company: Adaptive Health LLC.
Founded in 2009, Adaptive Health LLC first launched on the science after releasing the Instaflex Original formula. It turned out to be a huge success. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength, launching the successor of its original Instaflex – now called Instaflex Advanced.

Now that we have familiarized ourselves with the company, let’s talk about their flagship products: Instaflex and Instaflex Advanced. What do they do? How do they work? Are they effective, safe, and of good quality? We find out below!
Instaflex Overview
Instaflex Joint Support is a popular joint health formula that is claimed to be scientifically formulated to support overall joint health.
Instaflex features 8 key ingredients that are claimed to help:
- Alleviate discomfort
- Enhance flexibility
- Improve mobility
Instaflex contains 90 capsules per bottle, with the recommended dosage of 3 capsules per day with water. It costs $59.99, which makes it one of the more expensive joint health products on the market right now.
But how does it compare to its successor – Instaflex Advanced? Let’s take a look.
Instaflex Advanced Overview
Instaflex Advanced is claimed to be a new, superior version of the Instaflex Joint Support supplement. Much like its predecessor, Instaflex Advanced is 100% natural. However, it contains a different blend of ingredients, which, according to the manufacturer, have been formulated by a doctor.
Another thing that is different with Instaflex Advanced is that it has 30 capsules per bottle, with the dosage of 1 capsule per day with water.

So, on the surface, the supplements look quite different. But how do they compare in terms of the ingredients? After all, this is the most important part – their formulas.
Never mind all the rest, the differences in ingredient profiles will tell us which product is better, which is safer, and ultimately, which is the winner of this comparison.
Instaflex vs Instaflex Advanced: Comparing the Ingredients
There are a number of things different about the original Instaflex formula compared to Instaflex Advanced.
Instaflex Advanced contains a lot more collagen, turmeric, and resveratrol. Meanwhile, Instaflex Joint Support contains a high dose of glucosamine.

Instaflex’s Ingredient Formula
There are some great ingredients in Instaflex. Glucosamine, MSM, Ginger, Boswellia Serrata, and Turmeric are all well-studied and generally effective joint health supplements.
Glucosamine and MSM help to provide long-term joint support by repairing your cartilage and surrounding joint tissues. Whereas ingredients like Turmeric and Ginger provide a more noticeable short-term pain reduction.
However, there are a few problems with Instaflex Joint Support’s formula that need to be addressed. For one, some of the aforementioned key ingredients are underdosed. This includes Turmeric and Ginger. At the doses that they’re included in Instaflex, they are unlikely to provide a noticeable benefit.
Furthermore, the turmeric that Instaflex uses has poor absorption on its own. The best joint supplements pair turmeric with black pepper extract (piperine). Why? Because, piperine has been shown to improve the absorption of turmeric by 2,000% or more. Taking turmeric alone is not the best way of utilizing its anti-inflammatory effects.
There are also a few core ingredients missing from Instaflex. These include omega-3 fatty acids, an antioxidant like selenium, which has been shown to reduce joint inflammation.
Don’t get us wrong: Instaflex is by no means a bad joint health formula. In fact, it’s better than a lot of products that we analyze here. But compared to the market-leading joint supplements, it does lack in some key areas.
Surely, the manufacturers have improved upon some of these issues with Instaflex Advanced. Or did they? Let’s take a look!
Instaflex Advanced’s Ingredient Formula
Looking at the ingredients in Instaflex Advanced, the impression is similar as with Instaflex Original. On the whole, Instaflex looks like a decent joint formula. It’s certainly better than many other hyped joint health products on offer right now. But it is also not the best we’ve seen.
Instaflex Advanced contains a much higher dose of quality turmeric than Instaflex Original. It also contains some Boswellia Serrata Extract, and some hyaluronic acid. Taken in combination, these ingredients should help to relieve your joint pain and protect joints as you get older.
But it also has some serious issues.
The biggest problem with Instaflex Advanced’s ingredients is that it has too little hyaluronic acid. At 5mg per serving, it’s nowhere near the minimum effective dose of 80mg. Some supplements even use 200mg!
Then there are the pointless ingredients. Half of Instaflex Advanced’s formula is made up of things like collagen and resveratrol. Oral collagen does nothing for your joints whatsoever. It’s not proven to have an effect. Resveratrol, on the other hand, while generally beneficial and healthy, is not going to have a dramatic effect on joint flexibility or function.
For a “doctor-formulated” product, we expected a bit more. There really is nothing advanced about Instaflex Advanced. In fact, its formula is worse compared to the original Instaflex. Even though Instaflex Original isn’t the best joint product we’ve seen, we actually preferred it over Instaflex Advanced’s formula when it comes to providing joint relief!
Commentary: Which Ingredient Profile is More Effective?
As you can see, the ingredient profiles differ substantially. One of the big differences is the higher dosage of turmeric extract in Instaflex Advanced; it contains 4-times more than the original formula.
However, the original Instaflex contains a decent serving of ginger (which also happens to be anti-inflammatory). Plus, it has a decent serving of glucosamine and MSM, both of which are highly effective joint supplements.
Overall, while both formulas have some major drawbacks, we actually rate the original Instaflex as the more effective for joint pain relief. It’s surprising how much more popular Instaflex Advanced is.
Our guess is, this is due to the inclusion of Hyaluronic Acid and Branded Collagen – two hyped ingredients that are ultimately ineffective. It just goes to show that product effectiveness oftentimes falls in the shadow of good marketing.

Instaflex vs Instaflex Advanced: Safety Profile Analysis
All things considered, Instaflex and Instaflex Advanced look like pretty safe supplements to us. Joint supplements are safe and side-effect-free in general; the ingredients they contain are typically found in foods and aren’t known to cause adverse effects.
As for Instaflex and Instaflex Advanced specifically, their ingredients have all been thoroughly tested in human studies, and none are found to cause serious side effects. Especially not at doses that are as light as in these two supplements.
Most people should be able to use Instaflex on a daily basis without experiencing any negative reactions at all.
That said, we are all different. We have different medical histories, we live in different environments, and we have different genetic profiles.
It is important to do thorough research before using Instaflex, Instaflex Advanced, or any other supplement for that matter. Always talk to a qualified health professional before taking a supplement, if you have any doubts.
Instaflex vs Instaflex Advanced: User Reviews
Before purchasing a joint-care product like Instaflex or Instaflex Advanced, it is worth checking some reviews of the supplement shared by others. While the kind of testimonials you find on the official website, Amazon, and GNC aren’t always going to be reliable, they can give you an idea of the supplement you’re dealing with. The reviews of Instaflex and Instaflex advanced which are posted by “real people” can help you determine if it’s legit, or a scam!
Generally speaking though, both Instaflex and Instaflex Advanced are well-reviewed online, for the most part. Both have some complaints from the customers. In most cases, it’s not due to the side effects, but because they didn’t get the results they wanted.
As we said, you need to take all testimonials from “users” with a grain of salt. Anyone can publish on Amazon, eBay, and GNC. Even if those merchant sides they can filter out fake reviews. However, user reviews do tend to show if a product is a complete scam. We see none of the typical complaints that accompany a scam product with Instaflex or Instaflex Advanced. There is no mention of unauthorized credit card charges or aggressive billing tactics, at least!
Instaflex vs Instaflex Advanced: Pricing & Value
Instaflex costs $59.99 for a bottle of 90 capsules. As we mentioned at the beginning of our report, you’re supposed to take 3 capsules of Instaflex per day with water, which means it will last you a month.
Instaflex Advanced, on the other hand, costs $52.99 for a bottle of 30 capsules. The dosage with this one is 1 capsule per day with water.
Which is better value for money? In our eyes, neither one! The downsides mentioned in the “ingredients” section outweigh the benefit for us, considering how much it costs. For the price, there are definitely better value joint supplements than either of these two available on the market.
However, if we had to pick between the two, the original Instaflex is the better value for money, because it uses higher doses of better ingredients. Don’t let the marketing fool you, Instaflex Advanced is no more advanced than the original. If anything, it’s inferior in almost every crucial department!
The Bottom Line
Looking back at our criticism at times, you might have gotten the impression that Instaflex or Instaflex Advanced are not good joint products. But this not the case.
Both are solid joint health supplements; the original Instaflex even more so. Actually, Instaflex Joint Support is the winner of this comparison today.
It contains some great ingredients, including highly potent glucosamine and MSM.
So, will Instaflex promote joint health and reduce pain moving forward? Yes, it will.
Is it the best joint supplement you can buy for the price it’s charging ($59.99)?
Not by a long shot.
There is only 4mg of hyaluronic acid in Instaflex, when the smallest effective amount that has been used in studies is 80mg. Other key ingredients are underdosed, as well; turmeric, Boswellia, and MSM included.
On the whole, Instaflex is lacking more quality and “oomph” to be able to compete with the best. While it’s the winner of this particular comparison, we would definitely recommend doing more research before buying it, to ensure you get the best bang for your buck.
