Turmeric is a yellow spice that is best known for being a part of the curry. Other than being a great spice, it contains several bioactive compounds that have health benefits.
The most notable is curcumin. It has anti-inflammatory properties and decent evidence supports its benefits in reducing chronic pain.
Used on its own, curcumin has poor bioavailability and doesn’t get absorbed well in the body. As such, it often comes with piperine.
Piperine is a compound found in black pepper and improves absorption. In LES Labs Inflammatory Health, you will find BioPerine®, a patented black pepper extract.
However, the recommended daily dose is about 1,500 mg of curcumin (thrice a day of 500mg). This makes 250mg in LES Labs Inflammatory Health seem notably underdosed to consider it effective.
Boswellia serrata is an herb that shows promising results in helping with osteoarthritis and other joint disorders.
It acts anti-inflammatory and for now, it has great preliminary evidence for joint disorders. We are glad it found its place in the formula.
But there is a slight issue. The dose of 75mg LES Labs Inflammatory Health seems too small compared to the recommended 100-250mg. This is disappointing because Boswellia serrata is a great ingredient.
Quercetin in LES Labs Inflammatory Health comes in the form of Quercetin Dihydrate, which is the most bioavailable form.
It acts as an antioxidant and has anti-inflammatory properties. However, the research about the benefits of quercetin supplementation is mixed.
For now, it doesn’t seem good alone. But due to complex interactions and synergistic effects, it shows potential in combination with other compounds.
What do we think about it? Unfortunately, it does not contribute much to the formula. We would rather avoid it and put higher doses of turmeric or Boswellia instead.
Ginger Root Extract
Ginger is another healthy spice. Dosages from 1g to 3g show results in reducing nausea and easing digestion. Higher daily doses (10-15g) even seem promising for increasing testosterone.
However, despite the rumors and the hype, none of the proven benefits include reducing joint pain.
Furthermore, the 75mg in LES Labs Inflammatory Health seems too small for even the above benefits. As such, it doesn’t seem of great help.
Cat’s Claw grows in the Amazon. Traditionally, it was used due to its anti-inflammatory properties.
Today, people to this ingredient attribute benefits for treating osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and viral infections.
However, there is no scientific data that supports any of these claims.
Coenzyme Q10 is a compound that has a huge role in the body.

Generally speaking, CoQ10 supplementation doesn’t offer too much of a therapeutic effect. Some data suggest minor improvements in cardiovascular health. However, we need more studies to confirm this.

Although not directly stated, we recommend taking it with a meal. Some ingredients such as Turmeric (Curcumin) are better absorbed when taken with food.

However, some ingredients could cause some issues. For example, high doses of turmeric (curcumin) can produce nausea and gastrointestinal problems.
