The Pros

  • Works to provide short-term pain relief
  • Natural & vegan-friendly

The Cons

  • Unknown ingredient doses – they are hidden in a proprietary blend

  • Not an effective long-term solution
  • Doesn’t address the root cause – joint integrity, inflammation & tissue damage

Ramina Hemp Cream Analysis Summary

Ramina Hemp Cream is a decent option for people who’re looking to relieve their joint and muscle pain temporarily. However, it’s also far from the best product for joint pain and long-term flexibility. The claims that it can promote mobility and comfort are misleading.

A lot of ingredients in the formula are ineffective. Even where there are proven ingredients, the cream hides its doses behind a proprietary blend.

While Ramina Hemp Cream should provide you with some relief, it’s definitely not the best long-term solution out there. As far as improving joint health, flexibility, and connective tissue strength, better options can be found elsewhere.

About Ramina Hemp Cream

Ramina Natural Hemp Extract Cream is an anti-inflammatory product with Hemp oil & hemp extract, turmeric, MSM, and Arnica – natural ingredients designed to relieve pain and discomfort in your joints and muscles.

Made in the USA, Ramina Hemp Extract Cream absorbs fast into the skin and lasts long to help you feel comfortable during the day and night. It comes in 4 fl oz (120ml) tubs, which can last you between a week to a month or longer, depending on how much you use. The recommended use is to apply a thin layer of the cream onto the affected area, up to 3-4 times per day.

At first glance, Ramina Hemp Cream looks like any old joint pain cream. The question is, what makes it different from the rest?

The manufacturer claims that their “unique formula” is specially created by leading professionals from the United States to help you with discomfort in knees, back, elbows, and muscles, promoting joint mobility and improving comfort.

This is an interesting angle the manufacturer of Ramina Cream is taking. We’re yet to see a pain relieving cream that also works to improve joint flexibility, long-term function, and overall health. If Ramina Hemp Cream can really do what it claims, then it will be amongst the best anti-inflammatory creams we’ve reviewed.

So does it really work? Can it really improve joint mobility in addition to relieving pain? Does it work long-term or is it merely a short-term band aid? We find out below!

  • Relaxes
  • Soothes
  • Restores
  • Reduces aches and discomfort
  • Improves mobility

Who Makes Ramina Hemp Cream?

The company’s name is “Ramina.”

There’s not a whole lot information about the brand. Their “about us” page only shares vague statements such as “we strive to bring people a happier life, to help them enjoy every minutes, every second of it!”

The company says it’s U.S.-based, but apart from that, Ramina doesn’t tell us much!

How to Use Ramina Hemp Cream

The official instructions for using Ramina Natural Hemp Cream is to massage a small amount over the affected area 3-4 times per day. Start by applying a thin layer of the cream onto the skin to assess your reaction. You can increase the amount to increase effectiveness if desired.

Don’t use more than recommended. This cream is not meant as a solution for issues that are causing the pain, such as inflammation and connective tissue degeneration. If that’s the case, you will need to look for something that addresses these root problems, such as physio-approved joint health supplements.

Ingredients in Ramina Hemp Cream

Here is a list of the ingredients in Ramina Hemp Cream:

  • Water
  • Hemp Oil
  • Turmeric
  • Aloe Vera
  • Esters of Caprylic and Carpis Acids
  • Trideceth-6
  • Demu Oil
  • Arnica Montana Flower Extract
  • MSM
  • Boswellia Serrata
  • Glucosamine
  • Menthol
  • Phenoxyethanol
  • Potassium Sorbate
  • Citric Acid

The first and most obvious thing you’ll see is that Ramina Hemp Cream is a proprietary blend. There is no information about ingredient doses on the label. They’re all thrown together in the blend without showing their dosages.

This is a red flag. There is no absolutely no reason to use proprietary blends nowadays; it only shows lack of transparency. Formula theft doesn’t really exist. There’s nothing secret about the ingredients that Ramina Hemp Cream uses – they’re all common in pain relieving creams and supplements.

Not knowing ingredient doses prevents us from knowing if they’re effective. For all we know, Ramina Hemp Cream’s blend could be 99% water!

We’re now going to take a closer look at the main active ingredients in the blend, to see if there’s evidence to support Ramina’s claims. Please post any questions in the comment section below.

Hemp Oil

This is the main ingredient, and in our opinion, the best ingredient in Ramina Cream.

Hemp Oil is a potent extract that comes from the Cannabis plant. Hemp oil is used in creams for various purposes, the most common being pain relief. Hemp oil can help to reduce inflammation and can help to relieve pain by blocking the COX-2 enzyme.

Hemp oil is also used in skin care products because it is an effective anti-aging agent. The antioxidant properties of hemp are what make it so great for this use case. Hemp oil offers protection from oxidation of cells and tissues which increases collagen production, slows down aging, and reduces wrinkles.

Turmeric is a spice and a member of the ginger family. It is often used as a yellow food coloring and as a flavor and color enhancer in cooking.

Turmeric has been identified as an anti-inflammatory agent. This may be why it can be found in creams or ointments that are designed to treat skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, and acne.

It is also used to treat pain caused by inflammation in the body, including muscle aches and joint pain. It may also help to reduce swelling associated with these conditions. For this reason, turmeric supplements are often taken by people who have arthritis or other inflammatory diseases of the joints or muscles.

Note the key word supplements here. Turmeric creams haven’t generally been shown as effective compared to using turmeric as a part of a comprehensive oral formula.

Turmeric has the most benefits when ingested as a supplement or as an addition to food, especially when it comes to managing long-term inflammation. Applying it directly on the skin may help reduce symptoms of your pain temporarily, but it doesn’t provide a long-term solution like turmeric supplements.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a plant that has been known for its medicinal properties for centuries. In addition, it’s also commonly used in beauty products.

Aloe Vera helps to moisturize the skin and soothes skin irritations such as burns. For this reason, it is often used in creams and lotions for its healing properties.

There are many other uses of Aloe Vera. It’s been shown to have antibacterial properties, making it a great candidate for use in wound care products. The active ingredient in Aloe Vera is allantoin which has been shown to help heal wounds faster and promote tissue healing among other things.

Esters of Caprylic and Carpis Acids

Caprylic acid is used in creams because it penetrates deep into the skin to prevent and heal dry, cracked skin. The acid in the cream is supposed to do this by breaking down the fatty acids that line the surface of your skin cells. Some people also use it on their nails to help them grow faster and stronger.

It’s also used for other things, like getting rid of hairballs in cats.

As for carpis acid, we’re not sure why it was included in Ramina Hemp Cream. It is commonly used in making industrial products. When used in creams, it can act as an allergen.

We weren’t able to find a single robust, reputable study that shows this stuff works for muscle and joint pain, or flexibility. There is absolutely no benefit to using this ingredient in a pain relieving cream whatsoever!

This is an emulsifier that helps to tie other ingredients in Ramina Cream together.

Demu Oil

Demu oil is a plant extract that has been used in herbal medicine to relieve pain and inflammation. It can be found in creams, unguents, and other topical applications that are used to treat different types of skin issues.

That said, there’s not a lot of human research to confirm these traditional uses. It is an ingredient based on anecdotal claims and rumors, not concrete evidence.

Arnica Montana Flower Extract

Arnica Montana Flower is used in creams for the purpose of reducing inflammation and pain, primarily caused by bruises. This herb is found in many over the counter anti-inflammatory creams and is often combined with other herbs such as calendula, ginger, and lavender to provide a soothing experience.

There are different types of Arnica Montana Flower that can be used in creams because it has anti-inflammatory properties that are derived from its active ingredients. In general, any type of Arnica Montana Flower will have a calming effect when applied topically to the skin.

The major ingredient in most creams is water. But MSM is an exception to the rule. It actually increases the amount of water in your skin, so it can soothe inflammation.

Fascinating right? The mineral also offers the benefits of making your skin smoother and improving elasticity.

The thing is, though, that MSM works far better when used in supplements. This is why we keep driving home the advantage of using joint health supplements over creams as a long-term solution.

While MSM in a cream may reduce your pain temporarily, using it as a part of a well-researched (and well-dosed) formula will provide substantially better and longer-lasting effects.

MSM also helps to maintain your joint flexibility and function by maintaining healthy sulfur levels in your connective tissues when taken orally as a supplement. This is something you can’t possibly achieve with a cream!

Boswellia Serrata

Boswellia Serrata is used in creams for health and beauty-related purposes.

Boswellia Serrata is a plant extract that produces an oil that provides numerous benefits. Boswellia Serrata has been used for thousands of years to treat various conditions, such as arthritis and asthma. It may also be used to treat skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.

Again, the sad thing is that Boswellia’s benefits aren’t maximized when it’s used as a part of a cream. Boswellia Serrata has some amazing benefits when taken orally which include blocking the enzymes responsible for causing inflammation and joint tissue destruction. As such, Boswellia is a great ingredient to be used in oral formulas in order to promote long-term function of your joints and muscles.

Glucosamine is a natural compound that is made of amino acids and sugar molecules. It is used to help your body recover after an injury. Glucosamine can also be used to increase energy, reduce pain, and repair cartilage in the joints.

Glucosamine has been shown to improve joint health in people with arthritis. It can also help prevent cartilage damage by slowing down the process of cartilage breakdown. This can be helpful for people who are at risk for osteoarthritis or those who have had an injury that has caused too much damage to their cartilage already.

Glucosamine, if taken orally, may aid in repairing damaged cartilage tissue and easing pain associated with osteoarthritis of the knee or other joints.

Unfortunately, none of these benefits apply to topical use of Glucosamine.

Menthol is probably the most common ingredient you’ll see in pain relieving creams. Menthol is essentially a chilled peppermint oil used in various creams and lotions. It is popularly used as a flavouring agent and it also gives the trademark “kick” sensation to the skin.

Menthol can be found in creams and lotions that are used to numb sore muscles, reduce skin irritation, and prevent muscle spasms.

While it doesn’t actually relieve pain, the “cooling” sensation of menthol is an effective distraction from the aches in your joints and muscles.

This is a preservative commonly used in skin creams to prolong their shelf-life amongst other benefits.

Potassium Sorbate

Potassium Sorbate is another preservative that works together with other ingredients to improve their stability and longevity.

Citric Acid

Citric acid helps to balance the pH of your skin. As far as pain reduction goes, it doesn’t do much! It is yet another ingredient in the cream that is sort of pointless.

Our Thoughts on Ramina Cream Formula

There’s an awful lot of ingredients in Ramina Cream that are untested or ineffective.

Even where there are proven ingredients like Hemp Oil Extract, there are problems.

The main one is that we can’t see the doses of these ingredients. So even if they’re otherwise good, they could be underdosed, which would limit any positive effects they may have.

We believe Ramina Cream may provide a slight pain reducing effect at the area where it’s applied. However, as far as the “improving mobility” claim goes, there’s nothing in the cream that is shown to be able to achieve this.

The claims made by the manufacturer are, as expected with these kinds of products, overexaggerated.

Side Effects – Is Ramina Hemp Cream Safe?

Ramina Hemp Cream is unlikely to cause any side effects to most people. Unless you’re allergic to some of its ingredients (you need to read label carefully always), it is safe to use as recommended.

If you have any doubts or questions about the cream, make sure to speak with your dermatologist before using it.

User Reviews

Ramina Hemp Cream has thousands of reviews on websites like Amazon, where it has an average score of about 4 stars. It is not clear how many of those reviews are legitimate and written by real people, and how many are paid ads.

Despite this, it is still worth reading through some Ramina Hemp Cream reviews. Doing so can often tell you if the product in question is legit or a complete scam! While Ramina Hemp Cream has its downsides, it is not the latter.

Pricing & Value?

Depending on where you purchase it, a 4oz tub of Ramina Hemp Cream can cost up to $37.99. The product is available on multiple websites online, including Amazon.

Final Thoughts on Ramina Hemp Cream

Is Ramina Hemp Cream a good solution for joint and muscle pain? Does it improve flexibility and long-range function? Is it the best anti-inflammatory cream you can buy today?

The answer is no. Ramina Hemp Cream is yet another product that promises a lot, but doesn’t deliver with its ingredients.

Not only are many of the ingredients in Ramina Hemp Cream unproven or ineffective, but the ingredients that do work have their dosages hidden, so there’s no way to know if they’re effective at all.

Although it is possible to sometimes find this cream for a relatively inexpensive price, it’s not the best value for money we’ve seen.

If you’re looking to effectively eliminate joint pain while also supporting the repair of your connective tissues and ensuring optimal strength and function of your joints as you age, we’d recommend looking into professional joint health formulas that use natural, proven ingredients clinical dosages – ensuring maximum safety, and efficacy.
