Small classes and personalized learning set Cascade Canyon apart. Elementary classes are capped at 16 students, and middle school classes are capped at 18 students.
Elementary students learn in mixed-grade classes (K-1, 2-3, and 4-5) and stay with their teachers for two years. These multiage groupings support social-emotional growth, peer mentoring, and differentiated instruction. Middle school students are split into a sixth grade cohort and a 7-8 cohort and take some elective classes together.
Students develop a sense of place by interacting with our rich natural surroundings. We promote environmental stewardship through twice-yearly K-8 overnight trips and frequent classroom excursions.
By engaging with the world beyond the classroom, Cascade Canyon students learn to see themselves as powerful change agents. They build compassion and connection by tackling real-world issues.
